About the Role
As a Control Room Operator, you are the heartbeat of our field operations. Based in our Ingleburn control room, you are the primary point of contact for our Mobile Speed Camera Operators. This is a dynamic role that blends high-level communication with essential administration.
Your day-to-day will involve:
- Operational Support: Acts as the lifeline for field staff—checking them in/out of shifts and providing support during technical hitches or public interactions.
- Safety & Wellbeing: Monitoring the welfare of our team members while they are on the road.
- Data Management: Maintaining accuracy by documenting shift logs and operational data into our systems.
- High-Volume Engagement: Managing anywhere from 50 to 100 calls per day, ensuring every interaction is handled professionally.
The Roster Breakdown
We operate 24/7 to keep NSW safe. Your schedule will typically look like this:
- 12-hour shifts (Day and Night rotations).
- 2 weeks of Days / 2 weeks of Nights.
- Pattern: 2–3 shifts on, followed by 2–3 days off. Imagine having 3 days off in the middle of the week!
What You Bring to the Team
We are looking for calm, tech-savvy communicators who thrive in a structured environment.
- Experience: A background in call centres, control rooms, or high-pressure customer service.
- Flexibility: You are ready and willing to work a 24/7 rotating schedule.
- Communication: A professional phone manner and the ability to de-escalate situations when necessary.
- Tech Literacy: Comfortable with MS Office (especially spreadsheets) and quick to learn new proprietary systems.
