The G4S Security Pathway is a funded path to becoming a Security Officer at our client's site in Karratha. You'll be offered a contract as a Security Officer, on the condition that you gain a WA Security Licence and maintain your employment with G4S.

We'll provide the training for a Certificate II in Security Operations, and then we'll help you obtain a WA Security Licence (subject to you passing relevant checks).

The process takes an average of 12 - 16 weeks. The Security Course runs for 10 full time days in a row, over weekdays and weekends, and you must be available for the full duration.

Our next Pathway Course will commence on Wednesday 20th May 2026 and run until Friday 29th May 2026 - hours will be 8:30am to 4:30pm at a training location in Karratha.

When your Security Licence is granted, you can start employment with G4S to gain experience and you'll be a fully licenced Security Officer with ongoing employment opportunities in Karratha with G4S.

Our Facility Security Officers are trained to support our energy client in delivering energy services safely. In a varied role, their primary responsibility is to ensure the immediate safety and security of the premises and all people on the premises. More specifically, you will be responsible for:

  • Patrolling large areas.
  • Serve as part of an Initial Response Team and respond to emergencies and assist paramedics.
  • Provide surveillance and de-escalate incidents.
  • Perform drug and alcohol tests.
  • Provide customer service by assisting all of our client's staff, visitors, and contractors.
  • Ensure all facility security systems and services are compliant.
  • Submit detailed reports on safety and security hazards or breaches.
